Benefits of being an Avelo diver
As an Avelo diver, you are among the first to take part in the future of scuba. The Avelo System is superior to standard scuba gear in several ways:
- Significantly lighter and less bulky Transitioning to an Avelo system removes the use of a BC and (for most people) all weight. The cylinders are a composite material, weighing less than a traditional cylinder. The entire system weighs 45 lbs (compared to 65-70 lbs for a standard system).
- Buoyancy control is effortless With less weight to compensate, the diver is able to maintain buoyancy more easily.
- Eliminates rapid buoyancy changes
- It allows for more bottom time For many divers, controlling buoyancy takes air. Improving buoyancy improves enjoyment and increases bottom time.
How the course works
In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to dive the Avelo System. Your course consists of two components, online theory training and in-water training. You will complete the in-water training with your Avelo certified instructor at a participating Avelo dive center following completion of the online theory training.
When you complete the online training course, the next steps will be outlined on the online course completion page, and you will receive a confirmation email. The online course completion page will also be available on your Dashboard. You are required to fully read the User Manual found on your dashboard for additional information and safety warnings pertaining to the Avelo System.
